ロングモーン

スペイサイドの秘境とも言えるこの蒸留所は、特に創業当初から一貫して素晴らしいスピリッツを生産してきました。フルーティーな香りと絶妙な甘さが絶妙に調和した非常に香り高いウイスキーは、ブレンダーやウイスキー愛好家の間で長年人気のモルトウイスキーです。

ジョン・ダフは、南アフリカと米国で蒸留所設立に何度も失敗した後、1898年にエルギン／モレイシャーに蒸留所を設立し、成功を収めました。この蒸留所は今日まで途切れることなく、優れたスピリッツをコンスタントに生産しており、 VAT 69、デュワーズ、そして後にシーバスリーガルのキーモルトウイスキーとして君臨しています。

日本のウイスキーの父、竹鶴政孝氏もこの蒸留所で働いていた時期があり、ロングモーンの蒸留器をモデルにしてニッカの蒸留器を設計したと伝えられている。

A rare 1976 Vintage Longmorn bottled in 2011 by Thosop BVBA, Belgium. This 35 Year Old Whisky and has been matured in a Bourbon Cask and the label is in the format of a "handwritten" label. Only 134 bottles were released.
