This Japanese single malt is another first bottling of their Peated Whisky from Yamazakura's Asaka distillery in Japan. The peated level of malt for this bottling is about 50ppm, which is similar to most Islay peated malts like Ardbeg etc. Matured for about 3 years in first-fill Bourbon cask. Limited to about 1,800 bottles which were released in December 2020. Color: Dark Straw Nose: Peat campfire smoke, honey, vanilla, citrus fruits, and a hint of stone fruits Palate: Sweet honey, vanilla, peppery and hints of iodine. Finish: Honey, peppery smoke.
