A Gordon & MacPhail relaunched Distillery Labels bottling range of this 25 year old whisky from Mortlach. Typically, G&M buys the new make spirit from the distillery and matures in their own casks at their own warehouse before bottling them. The "Distillery Labels" are a range that is bottled with the original distillery labels licensed to G&M. Rich sherry aromas are punctuated by rum soaked fruits and beeswax polish. Stewed summer berry flavours are complemented by cinnamon, cloves and zesty orange peel. The finish is delightfully long and fruity. (Tasting Notes from G&M)
One of the oldest independent bottlers in Scotland, G&M derived its name from its two founders, James Gordon and John Alexander MacPhail and was originally established on 25 May 1895 as a grocery.
