First produced by James Logan Mackie in 1861 and taking its name from a famous Edinburgh inn, White Horse is a historic brand with Lagavulin one of its key components.  We estimate this to be a bottling from the 1950s - 60s and imported by Jardine Matheson & Co. Ltd.  (who were the sole distributors then for Hong Kong, China & Japan). The Label is in quite good condition and level of liquid is well into the neck. Given the date of the bottling, we expect a major component of this whisky to be Malt Mill, which closed in 1960 and once sat where Lagavulin sits today.
